This Bentley Special Sport has documentation historically back to its inception. Chassis number B26KM ,originally a 1950 MARK 6 Bentley was converted into a 1930s style Open Tourer. The Bentley Special. Chris Lawrence, Engineer ,Car Designer, and Race Car Driver, converted 5 of these cars at his Company, Lawrence Tune LTD., where he also built Race Cars that which he raced at LeMans. Permanent English Registration number is NMA251 .David A.C. Royce & Co. LTD Vintage Motorcar Restoration largely performed the restoration in 2009.Full detailed tickets are available with the car from this restoration. In 2003 we have restoration receipts from Fearon Rolls Royce and Bentley Specialists for a second restoration. Service history and other receipts are in abundance and will be served with the purchase of the car.
From the 2003 restoration the car found its way to the states and was purchased by a collector of fine European Automobiles and put in static display were it remained until we obtained the vehicle.
The car was a simple procedure to refresh. Once the old fuel was removed the car started easily with correct braking. The car is one of the most user friendly vintage Bentley cars we have driven.
