Introduced in 1965, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow represented a significant step forward for the marque, combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced engineering. As Rolls-Royce's first monocoque-bodied model, it featured independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and the renowned self-levelling hydraulic system, delivering the exceptional ride quality for which the model became famous. Produced between 1965 and 1976, the Silver Shadow remains one of the most successful and recognisable Rolls-Royce models ever built. They are powered by the smooth and effortless 6.75 litre V8 engine coupled to an automatic transmission. A symbol of prestige and refinement, the Silver Shadow combines stately road presence with remarkable comfort, making it an increasingly sought-after classic Rolls-Royce.

Finished in the elegant and timeless combination of metallic grey/silver with a blue leather interior, this Silver Shadow presents particularly well. The cabin retains a pleasing sense of originality, with the walnut dashboard and door cappings remaining in good condition. The leather upholstery displays an attractive patina commensurate with age and use, while remaining well preserved and free from excessive wear. The car enjoyed long-term ownership, with its first custodian retaining it for an impressive 33 years before passing it to its second owner in 2007. Acquired by our vendor in 2020, the Silver Shadow has formed part of a private classic car collection and has been enjoyed on numerous occasions during his stewardship. Now offered for sale, this charming example is reluctantly being parted with as the vendor seeks to create space for another classic addition to his collection. Consigned by James Good
