Chassis No. SCAZD02A1JCX23574 Introduced in 1971, the Rolls-Royce Corniche epitomized elegance and exclusivity. Crafted by Crewe and Mulliner Park Ward, each car was said to have taken five months to complete. Luxuriously finished with Connolly leather, exotic wood veneers, and lambswool carpeting, it combined tradition with evolving modernity through its production run to remain as the ultimate status symbol into the 1990s. This Corniche was purchased new by French author Boris Schreiber through Carriage House Motor Cars Ltd. of New York, New York. A copy of the original window sticker notes that cocktail requisites were requested for both doors, which raised retail price to $184,560 USD, equivalent to just over $515,000 USD today. A copy of the original title shows the car was kept at Schreiber’s residence in Wainscott on Long Island until his passing in 2008. The car was then imported to Switzerland in the summer of 2012, where it benefited from a comprehensive service completed by Bentley Geneve. The work included servicing the brakes, suspension, and engine which totaled 48'923 CHF when completed. Purchased by the current owner in October 2019, the car has since received continued service by the marque experts at Emil Frey Classics. As a result of its diligent care, and displaying just 18,224 miles at cataloging, the Corniche remains in remarkably original condition today and embodies the craftsmanship of Crewe and Mulliner Park Ward in its most elegant form.
