Supplied by Castles Motor Co. of Leicester to J.W. Kempton Esq on 5th October 1956, chassis SBC108 was originally finished in Sage over Smoke Green with Beige leather upholstery and specified from new with power steering - a desirable factory option. Though much of its early life is undocumented, the Rolls-Royce was treated to significant refurbishment in more recent years. In 2010, marque specialist Hillier Hill carried out over £30,000 worth of work, while further mechanical and cosmetic attention totalling £16,000 was undertaken by NRT Motors in 2014-2015, including a full respray.

Following this, 'SBC108' was offered through H&H Classics at the Imperial War Museum Duxford in October 2015. It was later re-liveried in its current colour combination of Shell over Tudor Grey and once again passed through H&H in May 2021, where it was acquired by the present owner—a Rolls-Royce enthusiast and collector—for £25,875.

Since entering current ownership, the Silver Cloud has been used and enjoyed on numerous outings, including attendance at local events and the RREC annual rallies. Maintenance has been carried out as required, with work entrusted to Rolls-Royce specialists Prestige Services in January 2022. At this time, the car received a comprehensive service including new spark plugs, a full brake system overhaul (comprising replacement master cylinders, rebuilt front brakes, new shoes, cleaned and reassembled drums, and system bleeding), and new brake pipes and handbrake cable. Other tasks included repairs to the reversing lights, replacement of the washer bottle, rectification of tyre clearance on full lock, overhaul of the fuel gauge, and alternator adjustment. The total invoice came to £5,127.49.

Now offered for sale to fund future projects, SDC108 is accompanied by a comprehensive history file. This includes the original handbook and service data booklet, a wealth of receipts and invoices for past work, the original boot tools and inspection lamp, and a spare set of keys.

Showing 103,558 miles on the odometer and as per this car's tradition again presented for sale with H&H, this elegant and well-sorted Silver Cloud is ready for its next chapter with a new custodian.
